My first Attempt….!!!

At baking Hot Cross Buns for the day that was in it…!
One of my Blip friends asked me yesterday was I going to….and although I hadn’t considered it …..when put ‘in mind’ of it I couldn’t resist…!
This is one of our favourite bakers recipes (The icon that is Dame Mary Berry)! ..and I’m pleased enough with the way they turned out…they certainly look the part ….maybe they’re not quite right in texture…. I may not have worked the dough enough…but they taste very good..
No spice as we don’t like it…..only fruit & vanilla….so maybe more like a fruited bread bun..!!

We had a right laugh as they took all afternoon to make and hubby was killed running up and down the stairs to check on them while they did 3 separate ‘provings’ in the hot press…!!
