Broadstairs

Headed off early on Saturday with some friends for an overnight camping trip in Kent. We stayed at a campsite in Sandwich, but headed out to Broadstairs for a drive and found buzzing with activity on account of Broadstairs Folk Week.. We enjoyed a few drinks outside, before heading off in search of food. We ended up having quite a surreal experience eating in a bookshop/restaurant. The owner happened to clear our table, and asked if everything was okay and got an honest answer. He didn't handle things particularly well and we felt quite uncomfortable but he did give us a generous refund. Then, as we were leaving, everyone went to the loos and discovered that the ladies and the gents urinals are separated only by a thin wooden panel. A very odd experience washing your hands with some bloke standing pissing next to you. All very bizarre, but funny and we were still talking about it the next day.
