I felt a lot better after seeing off my migraine.  We had a nice breakfast out before Nina had the joy of experiencing an Exeter City match. It was filthy weather so Ian had no complaint about letting her use his ticket! He stayed lovely and warm and dry and played video games instead.

It was emptying down as we arrived so I drove right next to the stadium and dropped off Nina and my friend Richard so they could stay dry.  Then I had a very wet stomp back to the stadium once I had parked the car up. Luckily (?) the wind was as fierce as the rain so although I was soaked through on the front half my back was remarkably dry which at least meant I didn’t feel too soggy sitting down.

Our reward for braving the weather was a 0-0 performance but we did enjoy yourselves and got some fun episodes especially when the guys behind us kept shouting ‘forward, forward’ as the lads passed the ball around the back and a guy in front took exception to that. They had a real ding-dong at half time which I was trying not to snigger at as they looked rather daft arguing as everyone else was desperate to get pastthem on the stairs for a warming cuppa.

It was not the greatest game but in that awful weather it was hardly surprising.  You could see the rain battering down on them in great sheets as the wind took it.
