Cinnamon squirrel
Lucca has adapted very well to being a city dog, going on the bus, the hustle and bustle of a city centre , going into Cafe’s, shops and meeting lots of people. Nothing g seems to phase her she is very chilled and behaves very well. She gets treats in a lot of the shops we go into, and the Cafes. Waterstones, Polegato (the bread shop) Helll Yeah (the card and gift shop), Caffè Nero and the local library , all give dogs treats. Many shops in Perth allow dogs in and am sure it will benefit their footfall.
This morning (Friday), my brain all day was convinced it was Saturday we caught the bus into town. Bus was very busy what with the schools being off. It was just Lucca and I as S was away paddleboarding down the River Tay. From Waulkmill to Willowgate .
It was cold. We sat upstairs in the nice warmth and enjoyed my breakfast. Not sure what I’d do without my coffee and pastries! I gave up alcohol years ago without a second thought but I would surely miss my caffeine fix.
We then went a walk along by the river and met Ann and her husband who we’ve known for many years. When we got Breagha as a pup in May 2008 they got a black puppy who they called Tilly. Her daughter Kylie took Tilly to the same puppy class that we took Breagha. While Breagha grew up to be the best dog you could have ever met their Tilly had to get a behaviourist as she chewed up their sofa and various other things and also was nervy. They had their 5 year old blue road with them and she too has had to get a behaviourist. Seems like Gracie has issues meeting people and dogs . She barked at us and kinda lunged at Lucca who just looked at her . I felt that they react and the dog reacts. I think the common denominator here are the owners. They are lovely people but I get the feeling too obsessive about the dog. We had a long chat and then Headed on our way.
S had finished his paddleboarding so we went for a warming bowl of soup in The Rose House. I met a lady who I used to work with when I came to Perth waaay back in 1980! She is also retired (obviously as she is older than me) and enjoying retired life.
We had our soup and then walked home. It was so cold.
A quiet night - checked in on line and got our boarding passes. Still to book our last night hotel in Catania but there are plenty so will do that Saturday night.
Oh and need to double check the travel insurance as it renews the day after we leave. They have offered a price of £94 for the year. Last year was 88 so think will just go with the new price with them.
