Manhattan

We started the day with bagels for breakfast, then took a bus ride up town.  We had a look at Times Square and some shops there, then had American McDonalds for lunch.  CyclopsJnr reports the Chicken Nuggets taste slightly different, but that otherwise the American McDonalds is much the same as the UK. 

After lunch we went to MoMA (the Museum of Modern Art) for a wander round.  We saw lots of really interesting stuff and MrsCyclops and CyclopsJnr made some weaving patterns.  The Van Gough "Starry Night" was definitely the highlight.

Next we meandered up to Central Park where we sat in the sun for a bit and had a snack (Ice cream for me, pancakes for MrsCyclops, Waffle for CyclopsJnr). before heading back downtown on the bus to complete our tour circuit.

At this point I got the subway back up town to grab a quick bite before going to the theatre (see extra) to see Sunset Boulevard.  MrsCyclops saw this production in London and loved it, but I never got round to it.  It was absolutely brilliant - loved it.  Nicole Scherzinger is in holiday this week so Norma was played by Mandy Gonzales, a Broadway legend who has famous for roles in Wicked (Elpheba), Hamilton and In the Heights.  She was outstanding!
