Fern Life
Have I said, I really love ferns.
I remember as a young child going to Wasdale with my godmother and family (did 10 of us really get in a Morris Traveller?) and playing hide and seek in them.
I remember proper big ones in New Zealand and their place in Kiwi culture and that sense of unending potential caught up in koru.
I love that they are so old, predating dinosaurs by about a long as dinosaurs predate us lot.
Out on the moor they are so deep and wide and lush at the moment and the emergence of a Hobbit or a dinosaur wouldn't be too surprising.
