Dandelion
We lived in France for seven years and we had hundreds of these at this time of year in our field.
The French called them pissenlit, literally translated to 'piss in the bed', apparently on account of its diuretic effect when eaten. I never partook in savouring one I have to say, so cannot vouch for the accuracy of this statement.
Also known as Dent de Lion, (Lions Teeth)
It's a funny old world!!
