Garden Birds

There were very few birds around the bird feeding station this afternoon but I did catch this pigeon in a tree nearby. Most of the time the pigeons are rootling around under the bird feeder gathering the left overs  so to see one settle onto a tree branch for quite a long time was unusual. However `I did think this made a far more sympathetic background than the grass.
