Wheatear

I did get closer shots of wheatear today but this one reminds me of a Leonard Cohen song...
The extra is of a shag bringing home the nesting material.
I used a new rural bus service today. It is a bookable one that runs from St Margarets Hope in South Ronaldsay to wherever you need to go in that area. 'The Hope' is at the northwest edge so most of the island hasn't been accessible by bus, but this 2 day a week service will help. I went right to the south end at Burwick as it is a good place to look for spring migrants. Just three wheatear and one great skua, but plenty of other birds.
