Magnolia

This morning, I woke up feeling like if I had my first day of my holiday, which is partly true, visiting my friends in Skåne and being looked after with nice food, drink and excursions. The weather has been dubious today. with cold and damp but still some spring in the air. April in its glory. We went for a long drive along the narrow, winding roads of the southern plain and coast. One of the places we visited was the botanical gardens of ”Alnarp”, part of the university where the next group of practical landscape engineers. My host Alan, has been educated there.

The garden has a vast collection of all kinds of trees and plants, in particular, we visited the Magnolia park, quite a largearea with hundreds of Magnolia trees of all sizes, shapes and colors. The flowering season has just begun and my contribution to my blip for today is a bud of a, for me, unknown species of Magnolia.
