A Blipper day
I had no demands on my time today (well not many) so decided to do as I do pleased. I remembered blipper Meles had said that the plant stall would be at Leith Market today so headed there first thing. I'm fact I bumped into Meles on the way, it was good to say hallo. I didn't buy from the plant stall in the end although his plants looked really healthy. I like buying when the plants have been grown in our local conditions s these were. Next time.
I did buy a couple of beautiful fruit tarts from one of the bakery stalls and the most delicious piece of Mandarin orange cake from another. It was hard to choose.
Back in the car around 12.30 and I headed off to Dalkeith Country Park to say hallo to Blipper Nadine on her Pentland Aromatics Stall at the market there. I'd hoped to get some lunch, but the restaurant didn't have any space until an hour later. It was nice to catch up with Nadine and make some purchases. I bumped into a former colleague at Nadine's stall too , that makes two of them . Small world.
I bought a couple of bagels and a couple of pies. One of each has gone into the freezer. The other bagel tasted delicious toasted with Philadelphia on it. That's my favourite way to eat bagels.
I headed home, the traffic was remarkably little for Easter weekend, on the way I spotted the bluebells as blippedby Nadine here, https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/3360355381422326953
but wasnt able to stop to take my own picture.
I went into the Rectory on the way back to take a picture. Much of the utility room is in place and he is starting on the floor in the main kitchen, that will be followed by the kick plates.
When I got home, I put food in the freezer, had my bagel and promptly fell asleep. I woke around 4.30 and went down to M&S to pick up an order.
I'm on prayers at church tomorrow so my next task was to write them once I got home.
Today's blip is the swan by the swing bridge at the water of Leith. I was delighted to see her off her nest, She's just jumped back onto the nest in the blip. You can see her ten eggs. She had the same number last year and they raised 9 of them successfully.
