Nesting swan

Cold, dry, some afternoon sunshine.  Fetched a newspaper in the morning. 

Afternoon walk through Stockbridge to Inverleith. The swan was on her nest; as we watched she got up and turned two eggs around. The tufted ducks were diving, the coot was on the nest at the East end of the pond, people were sitting on the bank overlooking the pond in hope of more sun than there really was. 

Up at the sports fields there was rugby - Edinburgh Northern 7s - going on, and quite a crowd watching the various games on four pitches. Came back by George V park, where there was a friends group setting up for an Easter Egg hunt .. hundreds of plastic eggs being spread about, so there won't have been much actual hunting done ..
