The humble thistle

Since joining blip my observation of the world around me has increased. I notice things I never would have before. A few months ago I was taken with the life stages of dandelions and now it is thistles.
Every stage of their developement is a thing of beauty. Most of the ones down at the river today were past this stage but these attracted me because I thought they looked like little shaving brushes.
