Eight Egrets and a Woodstork
We are getting back to our daily walks and had a wonderful treat today. While walking through the fields at Bennett Park, we saw a whole bunch of Great White Egrets, a couple of Snowy Egrets and... a Woodstork! The main photo here shows 2 Great White Egrets flying over the water and 4 standing in the water. One of them is in the middle way far back, another is standing behind the one flying (on the right). The snowy Egrets are the 2 short ones in the photo. I should note that Bennett Park was designed as a Bird Estuary, as well as a Community Park.
In the extras I have a zoomed in photo with a Great White Egret on the left, the Woodstork in the middle and a Snowy Egret on the right. I think Woodstorks are soooo interesting. I never saw one until we moved here 15 years ago.
Next, a photo of Beda (12 years in August) so happy, running in the fields at the park.
Lastly, a photo Steve took of me & mom today, in her new room at Memory Care. Mom moved into this space one week ago. All of the furniture we purchased and set up for her in Assisted Living was moved to this new, larger room in Memory Care. The staff assisted with moving mom down the hall on the same day.
We were hoping mom could transition to the apartment, but after assessing her for a few weeks, we all agreed that Assisted Living was not possible. We had some rough visits a couple of weeks ago when mom was very angry, but as you can see, today was a different day. We had a great visit and Mom was laughing a lot! I am thankful for this visit and for my husband Steve. The way he jokes around had all of us laughing. ;0))
