Three blackbird chicks.

Healthy and well fed. The nest is in the ivy on my back yard wall. These chicks are nearly fledged so I hope she uses the nest again so I can record the whole process- from egg to fledge. When the chicks first come out of the nest they cannot fly and they are fed by the male and female at first. When the female stops feeding them she lays another clutch of eggs and the male feeds the chicks until they fly off for an independent life.
