On the steam railway

We spent the afternoon on the steam railway to Broomhill or Glenbogle for Monarch of the Glen fans from Aviemore through Boat of Garten. Afternoon tea, scones, cream and jam and Cairngorm brewery ales for some. It is 150 years since the railway first came to the area and the steam railway is still going strong and by 2016 hopes to have extended the line to Grantown. This is the best of all worlds mountains, rivers, Scottish highlands, steam trains, great food and amazing drinks. Scotland at its best just lacked some sun but it is Scotland!
