Stone Falcon

A rare encounter with the only Stone Falcon from Kazachstan to be found in Holland.

I first made a chat with the falconer who was wearing a thick leather sleeve to gain some thrust and slowly approach the six kilo muscles bird.
Thanks to the fact the falconer is just out of frame I could get this close to the bird who did attempt to bite my lens several times.
