Wonderful, warm ,walking day!
The sky was brilliant blue and jacket’s were soon removed heading up round the Clash, a geological gash in the hillside , to Grant’s Fort, an ancient dwelling place, abandoned for centuries. Primroses, Wood Anemones and Sorrel and Violets covered the ground. Larches and Birches were that delicate Spring green. Thrushes, Chaffinches and Tits all sang, the only sounds to be heard! Unfortunately, the fence boundary has been mended , so couldn’t photo the Cairngorms, but the back of the Castle looks good from here. Actually, the Cairngorms were snow and mist covered so wouldn’t have made a good shot anyway!
