Ring Ouzel #43

A wet start to my birthday gave way to an opportunity to go out for an hour or two this afternoon and we chose the go and see if we could find the Ring Ouzel that had been reported for the past 2 days in St Helens, only a few miles away.
Luckily it was still showing nicely, if very distantly and had apparently been doing the same thing all day - feeding underneath a pylon.
What a nice birthday treat. Ring Ouzels are not often seen around these parts, more likely they are found on moorland, hills and heaths.
We also found a singing Corn Bunting nearby which was a lovely bonus as  I've not seen one for a couple of years.
