Cowslips

I took a rather tortuous path alongside the Haystoun Burn in Gypsy Glen today in search of a blip-able subject and was surprised to find that quite a few wild flowers are out already, including these flowers which were growing underneath the roots of a tree.  I couldn’t see what kind of flowers they were (closer examination would have involved crossing the Burn and I was a bit worried about slipping into the water anyway).  After looking at them at home, I think they must be cowslips
