Snapshots of my world

Lovely Lytham.

A wet Bank Holiday Monday wasn't going to stop me, and Mum, going for a train trip and day out. Our destination of choice? Lytham!

A great train ride, working without a hitch. Upon arriving, we enjoyed a lovely look around the shops as the rain poured. I particularly love Stringers, the department store, which is filled with beautiful homeware and clothing. No purchases but brilliant browsing.

A walk along by the sea incorporating the famous windmill showed how the weather was changing with two extremely contrasting skies. Dry for the length of our stroll!

The sunshine began to make an attempt to come out and we strolled further to Lytham Hall where we completed a small wicker sculpture trail. There were five sculptures to find including one of Gromit!

Trail complete,  a walk back to the station and another smooth running train trip back to Halifax.

What a super Easter break. I don't actually know where two weeks have gone!! I'm so lucky to have those who enjoy adventuring alongside me, opportunities to explore solo and also have those who attempt to get me to give myself a break...or rest...you can guess which element is usually neglected!!
