Rain on Tree Lucerne
We have had some lovely soft gentle rain over the last 24 hours. Over an inch in our rain gauge.
It was really needed as the land was getting very dry
So it was a damp walk for me and the dogs along the Taylor River Tracks. The river waters had risen and had flooded across the Omaka ford so we took a different route than usual.
I photographed the flowers on a Tagasaste (Tree Lucerne) shrub. They are quite small and insignificant from a distance. However, close-up they are very pretty and they have a delicate perfume. Tagasaste is one shrub that flowers for most of the winter and is thus beloved by bumblebees.
