From Rennie's bridge
Quick trip to Boots and Real Foods in the morning, all open as normal. Around by St Mary's Catholic Cathedral, where they were setting up a portrait of Pope Francis in front of a kneeling stool.
Afternoon walk by the Water of Leith. Eider ducks, tufted ducks, mallards, goosander all on the section of the river nearest the Sandport bridge. From there to Rennie's Isle (John Rennie was a bridge and dock engineer) and across Victoria bridge. Both swans around, female swan on nest by the bridge.
There was a German warship, A1443 in the Imperial dock. Tram back to town from Port of Leith. 11C, not at all warm, occasional light showers.
