Tropical Auckland ?

Well, the weather was far from tropical today. When I was exploring the garden at our new property yesterday, to my great surprise I noticed this orchid. So I had in mind to photograph it and Blip it today, and with all the rain and wind it became an indoor "studio" shot. At least this makes it easy to achieve a nice clean background.
For those that are interested, I think (with the help of Mr Google) that this is Epidendrum secundum, a native of Peru and Ecuador, and is sometimes found in Auckland gardens and nurseries - disappointingly not so rare after all !!
