A day in the life

Lund

Lund. The university, the cathedral, the graffity, the constant digging up the streets, the mixture of peoples nationality, culture and ages, the self-absorbed, the curiosity, the cafés, restaurants, bookshops, dialects and languages, the academic snobbery, and so on. I like roaming the streets of the city of my youth, before I moved to the northern part of Sweden. Lund is always on my list to visit when I’m down here and I love roaming the streets, meeting old friends and to be part of the continental atmosphere.

I’m staying with one of my oldest friends, Elaine, and American with Checoslovaquia roots and the mother of ”Timbuktu”, the rap-artist. We’ve know each other since the seventies and can continue a conversation where we left off, six month ago. It takes a long time to get old friends. Tomorrow I go home, it’s been a lovely holiday.
