Red-Bellied Woodpecker

I could hear that this guy was close by most of the time I was outside today but I only saw him for the few minutes he was in the dead dogwood tree.

I spent some time talking with our new neighbour Gabriel today. He was asking the questions like how high the water gets during the hurricanes etc

I showed him our metal shutters that close and he really like them and how they worked.

I was more than happy to share history of how things have been in the area during past hurricanes.

He is doing a fabulous job with the renovation of Runyon’s old house.
