Train to Thurso

The return leg of my trip south to drop the boys at their grandparents for a holiday.

Went by train, a slow trip that weaved it's way through hills and peat bogs back to the sea and then inland again. We saw otters and deer and peregrines and red kites and seals. Stunning scenery all the way. Any train enthusiasts should add it to their list of journeys to make.

Only problem was that there were too many place along the way that I would have loved to get out and attempt to take a half decent photograph.
