Fyne

I had a brief visit to the Big City today (Embra, that is... not the other one) to have lunch with my school friend. 

He is now mobile again after two knee replacements in 12 months and that makes going out for lunch a possibility - he can now stand up afterwards and walk across the street from/to the bus stop. 

After lunch - at Mum's in Forrest Road - we stress tested his surgeons' work by lurching over the road to Sandy Bell's. Just the one, obviously. At our age etc...

We opted for the Fyne Brewery's Jarl. We enjoyed it, as Blipped.  

My Extra is the the inside of the pub as seen from our seats. It must be one of the few places which does not have a TV glued to the wall to keep the customers amused. They talk to each other instead. 

Musicians were starting to play as we left (pure coincidence). I think they have a permanent open mike arrangement. Traditional and acoustic stuff only.
