It's alive!

I came back buzzing from a beautiful walk on the moors where I sat, initially unbeknown to me, only a few metres from a hare. The bird song was extraordinary and I saw ashy mining bees, lots of green hairstreaks, a wheatear and quite a few other delights.

I arrived back home and spotted this moth floundering under Boxy (who now has a nose and much more hair). I helped them out and, I thought, sat them on a leaf to take this picture. It looks like they're mid-air! Somehow, I think they're hanging on by two legs in the background and maybe it looks like there was a cobweb involved in the floundering. Anyway, I didn't leave them there.

Now, safely ensconced in the hedge which is looking like a real hedge this year!
