Monarch of ..........
No not the glen, Melki otherwise known as Larch Cottage Nurseries Melkinthorpe. Our usual cake and coffee Wednesday meet up with Kanyl. I am still not driving, hopefully the final bandage comes of the hand tomorrow. So we decided on another visit to Melki.
The girls had given Clickychick a gift voucher for the nurseries so she was planning on getting some hostas. It is always a fascinating place to visit as it is part landscaped garden and part sales area. It has the advantage that being a nursery you can be confident that if a plant survives their conditions they will survive ours. This can't always be guaranteed with dutch imports to garden centres.
So the blip just for a change is one of the many statues that are scattered throughout the gardens. There were many plants I could blip I took lots of shots. One in particular I intended to use a yellow Magnolia ( M brooklynensis "Elizabeth") however the camera didn't render the colour properly and I haven't the skill to "tweek" it.
