A seasider's view

An evening rose

I had to nip in to our local library today.

This can mean running the gauntlet of massed youth, who seem to gather outside, with the suspense of not knowing whether they are feeling friendly or not.

Tonight there were just a couple of girls, not interested in anyone but themselves, so I could poke my camera into the many roses in The Glebe without provoking unwanted attention.

At this time of year, the roses are dying back a bit, but there are still some gorgeous blooms to be admired.
