Herb Bed

EASTER MONDAY

After a damp and grey start to the day, the afternoon brightened up nicely.

I made my way over to the bowls club with some garden tools in hand, having volunteered to clear the grass and dig out a new bed for a herb garden.

All the groundwork and gardening at the club is carried out to a high standard by a team of dedicated volunteers. Over the past couple of years, our efforts have been recognised with awards from Wales in Bloom.

After an hour of digging (with a well-earned coffee break), I managed to squeeze in a short bowls practice ahead of tomorrow’s match.
