Some 'Afternoon Delight' of A Different Kind;-)
Trying to capture and remember a little bit of my first afternoon tea at this fine establishment called The Clipper Lounge at the Mandarin Oriental. It's taken me seven years to do this :( just never got around to it.
The occasion ... celebrating or making memories with the young lady on the extreme left. That's Acacia, Elizabeth's daughter. She is leaving on Sunday to study in Toronto and she kindly invited little ole me and another friend of hers to join her for high tea. I felt so honoured to be asked.
The most famous thing about this afternoon tea is the jam, it's rose petal jam and the flavour of it was just divine. A jar of that costs about £19 for a small one!
We really enjoyed it and even managed to visit the ladies room where the last pic was taken! It was super fancy and very chinoiserie in there, so posh.
Earlier in the day, Ben and I traveled all over HK getting various errands done in the stinking heat! Can't believe I'm complaining about the heat, it's what I live for.
