80 feet straight down

Scout Camp day 2:

LOOOOONG walk this morning (8 miles) to try and tire out the little rotters after they kept me awake all most of last night. Though, to be fair - the Perseid meteor shower was a bit of a draw, so I had a little smile when in the middle of the night I heard gasps of "wow - did you see that one!" from them. if only they hadn't elected to tell each other silly stories for the rest of the night...

Anyway, after the walk, onto the afternoon Gorge walking experience.

This is the view just before we abseiled down to the gorge, kitted out in wetsuits, helmets and lifejackets. Then there was a walk/scramble/swim up the gorge in freezing cold water before a much needed and extremely welcome hot shower

I am reasonably confident they will sleep tonight. reasonably.
