Strangers On A Bus*

I skipped yoga (unnecessary), then decided it was too cool and drizzly for a swim (regretted when the sun came out), but after three bookshop visits I do finally have a new book - Patricia Highsmith’s Strangers On A Train, subconsciously influenced by last night’s poddie on Alfred Hitchcock.

One I rejected was The Bureau by Eoin McNamee. ‘A great book’, said someone on the cover. No wonder publishers are doing away with blurbs.
