Autumn red

This Japanese maple is looking spectacular at the moment. I took a few pics today because I know that if I wait I might miss the moment and the leaves will fall off and carpet the steps below.

Then we’ll be into winter colours and will be tormented by northern hemisphere blippers’ summery photos!
