A Day In The Life
A wet, overcast day but that didn't stop us having a lovely day together. We had another slow start, when I let Little Man bike around in the garden for a bit, and then got the bus to Woerden.
We got a few things from Action (a discount shop), like phone plugs and a protector screen for my new phone; we also went into two different supermarkets. I guess that comes when certain products you use regularly can only be found in certain supermarkets. We also got a coffee and some biscuits at the café at the Hema (a Dutch homegoods store) as we usually do when we go into Woerden. Little Man and I haven't spent time in there recently as we've usually passed through on route to Utrecht, as Utrecht had the shops I needed to visit that aren't in Utrecht.
It was drizzling for most of the time we were away, which is why I'm grateful that we wore our winter jackets. It wasn't overly cold, just uncomfortable. We had a quiet afternoon at home. The rain has continued on and off all afternoon and is still drizzling now. I hope that we don't have any rain over the weekend as its Kings Day Koningsdag on Saturday. Here in the Netherlands, we celebrate the King's birthday, every year, which is on the 27th of April, but since the 27th falls on a Sunday this year, we're celebrating it on Saturday.
Little Man is in bed, but isn't too keen on going to sleep, despite being tired. It gives me the chance to relax a bit before I go to bed myself.
