Waiting for the 0813
I had planned to blip early today, but it is now almost tea-time and I have not yet found time to do so.
I took this picture of commuters waiting for the 0813 train to London Liverpool Street station when I accompanied Mr A to the doctor’s surgery; the round trip to the doctors took almost two hours instead of the usual thirty minutes or so. This picture also qualifies for my ‘one street’ project as the railway line joins my two small streets. Two see the other seventeen taken so far click here.
Most of the rest of today has been taken up with ordering a MedicAlert bracelet for Mr A, I have had one for years as I carry an Epipen; he has finally given in and decided that it might be a good idea for him to have one.
Some of you may remember that I was fighting a losing battle with Microsoft and their third party finance company, in Germany, over some software, purchased via the Open University discount scheme, for which an activation code could not be obtained. In the end I handed the case over to the credit card company and despite Microsoft and the finance company Kivuto Solutions, saying they did not give refunds, the credit card company have managed to get my money back. I think it might have cost me more than I originally paid in time, effort, printed paper and telephone calls, but I have the satisfaction of knowing that these big companies can be beaten, with a little help from The Bank of America.
