Rolling Back the Years!

We were sitting at York railway station waiting for our train to Sheffield (after a very pleasant visit) when this extremely sleek blue number glided into the station.
In an instant I reverted to the pimply youth who spent years trainspotting at the stations and depots of London over 50 years ago. I just had to photograph this train - along with the the scores of others similarly engaged - all of adult ages it must be said.
This is the Midland Pullman, a modern day throwback to the glamour, service and standards of yesteryear on its way from Devon to Scarborough - The Yorkshire Coast Pullman.
