Who Does That?
I've been very busy all day with cleaning, which has been pretty neglected over the past couple of weeks or so. Cleaning is quite tiring, but it doesn't give you many steps, unfortunately.
In the afternoon I cooked a batch of pasta sauce made with crumbled smoked tofu, mushrooms, tomatoes etc. to have for tea with wholewheat pasta. It needed salt though, which is another banned substance for me. Low sodium salt is okay though. I must get some.
When Brian came home from work we went over to Metheringham, via Tesco to buy flowers, as it would have been my Dad's birthday next week.
We got there to find that the big vase the flowers go in was gone. There was quite a bit of damage to other things on graves, and it looked like someone had had a bonfire too.
Who does that?!?
Probably youngsters who haven't been taught/don't know better. I wish them no harm, just that they see the error of their ways.
We found a plastic container to put some of the flowers in and customised one of the bottles we'd taken water in for the rest. We'd also taken some packs of wildflower seeds which we sowed on the grave.
I won't be at work again for a while. Claire doesn't think it's a good idea so soon after my health issues, as it can be very hot, hectic and stressful. She may have a point... Not to mention having to rush with sharp knives whilst on a double dose of blood thinners!
