Grand

Unsurprisingly I did not get to the pool this morning.  I was still really tired with vague aches and pains.  Ah old age .......

This morning I was off to the National Museum of Scotland (sensibly wearing trainers) for the first of the 10 week course on Georgian Scotland.  I think it is going to be great fun and informative.  After I had a whizz round the  Covid 19 vaccination exhibition before it closes at the weekend.  My plan then had been to have lunch in the Festival Theatre Cafe but there was a matinee on so the cafe was rammed.  Ended up with not very good baguette and brie from Margiotta.

The sun had returned and although there was still a snell wind my back garden is so sheltered I was able to sit out and snooze in the sun. It felt quite hot.  J came by to discuss feeding arrangements for the weekend. Also had a couple of calls with Mum as the plans for the VE events on 6 and 8 May are now finalised.

About half 5 I stirred myself to go feed cats (and accidentally let the older one out) and the head to Portobello to collect the sharpened tools but no fish and chips this week. Home via Sainsburys for a food top up and petrol.  First time I've bought fuel since November, 5 months ago, thoug #3 son did top up a wee bit.

Home I managed to entice the escaped cat back inside and cooked tea while I put past the shopping.  A beautiful clear evening but no frost is forecast.
