Lake Union Dry Dock

Established in 1919, this is a full-service shipyard on Lake Inion. There are two dry docks in operation,, the largest of which can take vessels up to 420 feet. It services many, if not all the 15 NOAA vessels. On occasion old, “retired” Washington State ferries appear as well. The iconic WS ferry , the Hiyu, presently at the dock was built in 1967, retired in 2016, and now repurposed as a floating entertainment venue.
