Stage 1?

      For the last few years this Rose has had me wondering if it's nearing retirement age; and every year it throws a curly one.
       Last year it threw up two strong looking shoots which, if it is a graft is a cultivated variety, rather than a Briar.
SO
      By way of experiment I left this one AND a view of the lower regions to illustrate what I meant about retirement?
