Apple Blossom

This is the only photo I took today, in my mother’s slightly soggy garden. 

Next Tuesday, her carer E will travel back to Poland, but the woman who was supposed to be E’s replacement is not coming - she just canceled yesterday. At such short notice, the carers‘ agency didn’t find anyone with the right qualifications to send us instead. 

We‘re now going to get a Polish carer who is 77 - barely 10 years younger than my mother - and doesn’t speak much German. 

It’s going to be an interesting five weeks…
