The Pink Railroad

It feels like the blossoms are earlier, pinkier and more plentiful this year. Again. 
Somehow I seem to think the same thing every year. It couldn't be though, could it? 
It has to be a distortion of my recollection. 
If every year they were earlier, pinkier and more plentiful, cars would get stuck in blossomdrifts as early as mid-February in the areas not serviced by the Council's blossowplows.
