Woodpecker

This is the first time I have ever seen a woodpecker.
I have heard them often.
Seeing one today was a real treat.
We went to Loch of the Lowes Nature Reserve to see the ospreys.
They were away from their nest, probably fishing.
But as well as seeing the woodpecker we saw red squirrels.
A very special day.
