I decided to go into the Mind shop after lunch so that I could watch the Pope's funeral... which I found very moving. I'm not really very religious at all, let alone Catholic, but he was a good man and I hope the next one will be similar, but hopefully a lot younger.

Then the charity shop for a few hours, shame that I missed Margot with getting there later.

Later I walked up to the allotment to water. The beetroot are coming through, as are the mangetout peas. Tomorrow I must go and do a bit of work. The chard showed signs of bolting, so I picked off those bits and brought them home for dinner  ....I've just thought that chard is perhaps a biennial. This is it's second year, so it's going to want to set seed.
