What a surprise!

They were celebrating Parkwalk at Parkrun today so Ian and I donned our new Parkwalk clobber and headed out.  It was very wet and muddy but we felt virtuous with all the steps in the bag at the start of the day.

As we were heading up our road I could see some unusual blobs on the roofs of the neighbouring houses.   I couldn’t figure out what they were at first and then felt a bit alarmed as they looked a bit vulture like!  The reality was much more pleasant as they were a pair of peacocks as you can see in the extra.

We awoke to the birds all squawking away madly and that must have heralded the arrival of this pair!  Given the size of them no wonder the pigeons and starlings were in a state of alarm!

Ian and Leo spent most of the day sorting out tech as we have new broadband and routers and TV devices.  I left them to it and went to the football and order seemed to have been restored in my absence.  The footie ended with a 3-1 win for Exeter so that was a lovely result for the last game of the season at SJP.

Ian and Leo are very excited about the speed of the broadband.  They kept telling me loads of figures about speed tests but the numbers all meant nothing and I couldn’t see why they were so excited.  I told Leo to explain it in chocolate terms and he said old broadband was Dairy Milk level and new broadband was a year’s worth of super deluxe Lindt choccie hampers - so a major step up!

I should sleep well tonight after lots of fresh air and around 16k steps thanks to the Parkwalk and footie trip.
