Plumbtree revisited

Experimenting with bark colour on the plumbtree.  I've been spending some time studying the tree trunks in the garden.  Very few are actually the 'classic' brown.  

Beech, in particular, which the shape of the Plumbtree is loosely modelled on, is rather more grey / grey-green than anything.

Currently a bit too green, and a bit too uniform.

Had a meeting today with the current Bookings Manager of the village hall, with a view of taking on the role.  Slightly fed up with multiple Quaker roles generally not achieving much in the long term, and thinking that living (literally) a stone's throw from the hall might be a way to give service locally.
