Green

Mr Rat decided today was the day for a long run over the hills and I took him to the bottom of the local ones from where he did lots of wiggles and ups and downs.
As I was there I decided it was a good place for a less ambitious run (my long one was last Saturday) so I visited the woods and fields at the bottom of the hills, which certainly aren't flat. It was grey and drizzly but there are some really nice trees, esp Scots Pine, in the more open parts and some dense areas of birch. These were just coming into leaf so provided a contrasting type of brightness to the gorse and broom flowers.
I'd not long finished my lunch when Mr Rat phoned for me to pick him up, he'd done the distance he wanted and didn't fancy a long stretch on tarmac.
Since then I did some mending (mainly and Aran cardigan I knitted when I was 16 that had unravelled around the buttonholes) and some admin.
